Pitch Events With Flavor
Last night, I stood on stage at Austin's live pitch startup comedy show and presented Cloud Cuts to a room full of founders, investors, and people who simply appreciate watching dreams collide with reality in real-time.
There's something electric about pitching your work while comedians warm up the crowd. It strips away pretense and jargon, and cuts through the clutter. When the audience just laughed at someone's bit, you have to be real.
And no one is more real than the panel, including Julian Jimenez from Reuneo meetup and Dan Crachiolo, CTO of AutoHDR. Great group of guys, great batch of companies. They ask the questions that matter.
I personally appreciated the recognition when I mentioned cloud costs consuming massive amounts of revenue. Let's take your most expensive item and cut it down to size. We can transform individual suffering into collective power.
Austin's startup ecosystem operates differently. We build in public. We fail in public. We succeed in public. We get you, and we want to bring you with us.
To everyone who showed up: you witnessed the beginning of something important. We're a school of fish. Not a single fish, the whole school. A school for fast, hungry, startup fish. And I pity the shark that tries to bite a swarm of Piranhas.
I believe in one simple truth. Fuck complexity, let's make some money.
Together, we can make things change.
